The 7a Studio is built on MAC Pros and Window machines and also houses an XSAN environment with both XRAIDs and XServers. Filming is done with Panasonic P2 cameras and edited AVC-Intra on whichever platform and/or software editor required. Genarts Sapphire, V-Ray and loads of plugins are on hand for whatever effect or look is requested. All graphics and FX are custom made.
A Brief History
Tim started editing in early 2000 for a independent filmmaker. It wasn’t long after he received certifications in Final Cut Pro and After Effects. He currently serves as a contributing member and one of the original members of the Charlotte Cutters, an editing and motion graphics community based in Charlotte, NC.
In 2007-2008, 7aMedia (formerly Trizon Films) was the go-to post production house for the TV show “Fine New Homes”, which later became “Carolinas Home Network”. The show was a weekly half hour episode which was aired in four major networks in the Carolinas.
Other highlights include the complete pre and post production of General Johnson and The Chairmen of the Board’s documentary feature “Under the Radar“, which included filming the band and acquaintances, editing and creating all graphical elements and animations.
Throughout the years, he’s worked on independent short and feature films, music videos and documentaries, broadcast TV shows and commercials, and corporate projects ranging from training, industrial and identity branding.
